Why Did Naidu Grow 'Pilli Gaddam'?

The politics in the state have stooped down to such a level that the political leaders have started attacking one another personally, including their body features and expressions.
The other day, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu made fun of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy tonsuring his head at Tirupati. He said Kiran had got that new look with tonsured head because he did not want people to recognize him.
“The Chief Minister wanted to escape from public appearance; hence, he shaved his head,” Naidu ridiculed.
On Wednesday, the Congress party reacted strongly to Naidu’s criticism.
“It is unfortunate that Naidu had made fun of the chief minister for offering his hair to Lord Venkateshwara of Tirupati. If that was wrong, Naidu should explain why he had grown that typical small beard (pilli gaddam)? It shows how much the TDP president had stooped down,” Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Botsa Satyanarayana said.
AICC leader and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy demanded an apology from Naidu for insulting the sentiments of piligrims who offer their hair to Tirumala Lord. “It shows his mean mentality,” he said.
